Reminder: Lunch 2.0 at Yahoo! today

Just a friendly reminder that we’re
heading over to Yahoo!’s Mission College Campus today (Wednesday,
February 21st) for what looks to be another great Lunch 2.0! We’ll have people from various Yahoo! teams there to host us; it should be a great time )
Hope to see you all there!

It was a great event where I met some interesting folks.  A few of them include:

- a table full of Yahoo Sign-in team members

- the founders of Lunch 2.0 (I’d retell the start-up story of Lunch 2.0 but bet I can find it later online somewhere) UPDATE: One of the founders Joseph Smarr wrote an entry about this recently.)

- a CEO searching for an Oracle db developer rockstar (I have one in mind, if you know of one say so in a comment and I’ll pass it on)

- a product manager from Yahoo! Publisher Network

As a result, I’ll be adding, in the theory of Practice (i.e., I’ll want to use it before helping other start-ups use it) YPN as a source for contextual ads to the Channel Blog.  From my understanding its still in beta like mode where they are being very selective on the types of sites accepted into the program.  Hopefully we’ll get Channel Capital Blog in there.

I may add more to this in a bit….Wrrz

Hey, glad you’ll be trying out YPN! And it was great to meet you; thanks for coming by!

  2. Walter Says:

    Cody,

Thanks for the comment. I know I shouldn’t geek out about it…but it was my first comment for my first and recently launched blog!

I was waiting in line to buy a burrito in Halfmoon Bay and got the comment notification via my mobile phone…needless to say I came very close to telling the guy taking my order in a shamefully giddy voice that I had just received my first comment!

Anyhow, now I’ve been around the block, once, and will try harder at hiding my joy caused by comments to my blog.

BTW, nice blog…based on your recent entry on MyBlogLog (MyBlogLog — bringing “anywhereness” to Yahoo!)…

…I’ll be checking MyBlogLog out too and most likely will be adding it to the list of services I’m putting to practice!
